Charles Whitley, CES
Charles Whitley is a native of Warren Co KY and grew up in the Hydro community near the Barren Co line. He graduated from North Warren High School and Western Kentucky University, where he was employed for two and one half years following graduation.
His career path has led him on various adventures including becoming a Dale Carnegie Course Instructor. Recognized as ‘the incredible Mr Fix It’, he opened a hardware store in his hometown of Smiths Grove KY and operated it for fifteen years, while also being employed as a Regional Sales Manager
for a major hardware wholesaler for five of those years. He sold the hardware store, which continues in operation today, in 2003.
Seeking yet another adventure, he became licensed as a real estate agent and auctioneer in 2003, and found his life’s calling. He quickly became involved with the local Board of Realtors, the Kentucky Auctioneers Association, and the National Auctioneers Association. In 2006 he was selected by the KAA to serve as it’s Executive Director, a position he held for some six and one half years.
With the advent of online auctions, he became deeply involved with the marketing of real estate and personal property for auction using the online bidding platform. He has participated in hundreds of internet auctions selling thousands of lots of personal property and multiple tracts of real estate.
